We caught up with Sabrina Phull, our Procurement Manager on the behind the scenes projects the Buying and Procurement team have been up to and how they have adapted to Covid restrictions…
Introducing BoxNine7’s Procurement Manager, Sabrina, a key player behind our tailored turnkey furniture collections. Sabrina is often spotted visiting various design events across the UK and Europe with the rest of the BoxNine7 team.
With the team busy back on the road, we managed to catch up with Sabrina on our current projects and the challenges she faces as a Procurement Manager.
Hey Sabrina! What is a typical day like for you as an Procurement Manager for BoxNine7?
“I don’t think I could say I have a typical day pre or post lockdown. There are many aspects within our Buying & Procurement team which means I can never say I know what I will be faced with in a day, and this is what I love about my job. There is always a new challenge and I am constantly learning from everyone I work with! Although generally, I manage stock for our Curated Furniture Packages and keep in daily contact with our trusted suppliers. We select the most skilled master upholsterers to create furniture for every one of our projects. I love to visit the factories from time to time and it’s so interesting how the process works.
You can watch our Craft & Collaboration video to see for yourself. You will also find me travelling to the annual furniture fairs, Last year we hopped to Stockholm Furniture Fair, IMM Cologne and Salone del Mobile, and luckily this year we made it before lockdown!”
What has been the biggest challenge the Buying department has faced since lockdown?
“We are an incredibly collaborative team, the biggest challenge the Buying & Procurement team has faced since lockdown is not being able to see each other face-to-face. We have overcome this challenge by ensuring we have daily and weekly Zoom calls to keep in touch and continue to run our services as smooth as possible. Although lockdown has thrown many challenges at us, it’s also given us the opportunity to do things and help
various charities, which we may not have done before.
We’ve been working on something great with Savills Interiors so stay tuned for the reveal!”

“Despite the slight holt due to Covid-19, we have been busy working hard behind the scenes. Many exciting things are coming up for the Buying & Procurement team. Keep your eyes peeled for a new announcement from us soon! Most importantly, it's great to see us back up and running again; with a big shoutout to our Service Delivery and Logistics teams too.”
What do you enjoy most about working with the BoxNine7 team?
“The thing I enjoy the most about working with the BoxNine7 team is everyone is so friendly and supportive, and we definitely have the best time on our social outings! It’s also great to work with people with a similar work ethos, I think that’s why our services are so strong! The BoxNine7 team are super passionate about what they do, it makes it such a fun place to work.”
